LIVE MUSIC
The Dave Wilson Power Duo

Lancaster resident Dave Wilson is a leading jazz saxophonist and recording artist in Central PA with an active venue and festival schedule as leader of his own contemporary jazz groups. He has seven recordings under his own name, all of which have received national airplay and positive reviews from leading jazz publications. Their fourth CD There Was Never (ZOHO Music, 2016), reached a high of #18 in the nationwide Jazz Weekly Jazz Radio Countdown, had a great review in Downbeat Magazine and was placed in nomination for a Grammy in 2016. The fifth One Night at Chris’ was released in the summer of 2019, achieved “Chartbound” status (Top 50) on jazz radio, and garnered positive reviews. Our 6th recording, released 1/7/2022, titled Stretching Supreme (Dave Wilson Music) is a tribute to John Coltrane. It reached a high of #31 in the Jazz Weekly Live Radio charts, and garnered some impressive reviews, among them. The seventh and latest recording Live at Silvana (Recorded Live in New York City) by the Dave Wilson Quartet was released this September 8th, and can be found on streaming platforms everywhere, including Spotify (at Dave Wilson Quartet) and Apple Music (at Dave Wilson Quartet), as well as on Bandcamp at www.davewilsonmusic.bandcamp.com. Dave is proud to be playing at 1st Thursday in a “Power Duo” context with his longtime friend and collaborator pianist and Elizabethtown native Kirk Reese. You can find them in the gazebo from 5:30- 7:30!
