SUPPLY Mural: Stop No. 9

The Story

SUPPLY, a modern marketplace hub and event venue, opened in 2017. From day one, owners Bryan and Heather were intentional about creating a beautiful space for small business owners to collaborate and share their innovative ideas. In 2022, Heather reached out to local artist team, Horst Arts, to create a mural on the SUPPLY patio. See the fun facts below to learn several key aspects about SUPPLY that were included in the mural.

Horst Arts met with the owners and their interior designer to discuss the subject matter, the style, and the colors of the mural. SUPPLY handled the sanding of the metal which gave the surface a “tooth” for the paints to stick to. The corrugation on the metal surface added an extra challenge to the painting process, but does little to hinder proper display of the subject matter as the wall’s inset prevents it being viewed from extreme angles. The mural was painted in about ten days.

This was the first mural painted by Jason and Katherine Horst in over ten years, and their first in the Manheim area. The project inspired the duo to pursue additional mural work within Manheim and other areas of Lancaster County.
